We operate as an outsourced pre-construction partner for construction companies that require reliable estimating support without the cost of maintaining a full-time internal department.
Our role extends beyond quantity take-offs. We support the full tendering process, including document review, supplier and trade coordination, bid preparation, and submission support. This approach allows contractors to focus on project delivery while maintaining a consistent and professional bidding process.
Why We Do This
Many capable contractors miss opportunities because they lack the time or internal resources needed to manage complex tender processes. Pre-construction work is often rushed or deprioritized when teams are focused on active projects.
We built this practice to support those contractors. Our goal is to help clients pursue the right opportunities, submit complete and competitive bids, and grow their businesses in a sustainable way.
Meet Hakan Afacan
BSCE, LEED Green Asociate
Hakan is an engineer, construction estimator, and pre-construction consultant with more than two decades of experience in the industrial, commercial, and institutional construction sector.
Since earning his engineering degree in 2002, he has worked on complex projects across four continents, contributing to developments ranging from large-scale industrial facilities to commercial and institutional buildings.
His international experience includes involvement in a four billion dollar natural gas liquefaction and pumping station project in Saudi Arabia, a one hundred million dollar hotel project in Turkey, and the construction of a university facility in Nigeria. These roles exposed him to diverse construction methods, procurement models, and project delivery structures.
After moving to Canada, Hakan joined Van Horne Construction, where he spent four years as Chief Estimator before being appointed Chief Executive Officer. In his role as Chief Estimator, he was responsible for securing more than thirty projects with a combined value of one hundred and seventy-five million dollars over three years.
Hakan’s professional background is evenly split between field operations and office-based leadership. This allows him to approach estimating with a practical mindset, ensuring that numbers align with real-world construction execution.
Today, Hakan works with Ontario-based general contractors and subcontractors as an outsourced pre-construction partner. His work is guided by honesty, transparency, and a commitment to helping clients win work and build sustainable businesses.
